MUT Urban Trust

MUT Urban Trust is a non-profit foundation dedicated to reshaping urban living environments through socially just, ecologically responsible, and architecturally ambitious projects. Guided by a set of twelve principles rooted in sustainability, public accessibility, and cooperative ownership, the foundation develops urban initiatives that aim to transform the long-term structure of the city.

Based on extensive experience in participatory urban practice, Javi Acevedo was invited to translate the foundation’s vision into a coherent visual and narrative identity. The project focused on developing a communicative framework that could convey the complexity of MUT’s principles to future partners, stakeholders, and collaborators.

Acevedo designed the foundation’s logo and created an iconographic storytelling system that visually maps the social and ecological values embedded in MUT’s work. This narrative approach culminated in a high-quality printed publication that presents the foundation’s mission, methodology, and long-term vision. In addition to the editorial design, a digital platform was developed to make the publication’s content accessible online and to expand its reach beyond the physical book.

Rather than functioning as a conventional branding project, the work approached identity design as a form of spatial communication — translating urban values into visual structures that support dialogue, collaboration, and the collective imagination of future city environments.
